Resources
Where did your services go?!
You can now find my professional offerings over at Groundfire Counselling and Community Work. But as I create new collective documents and resources and zines, I will continue to post them here.
- “Not to fix anything, but just to offer a millimetre of relief or breath or humour or companionship”: A collective document about caring for trans community
Collected by Tiffany Sostar following community conversations and consultations in 2022 and 2023. This document has also been shared, along with an audio practice note, in the International Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work. You can listen to that audio practice note here. - Letters of Support for the Trans Community
A collection of letters from people around the world who care about trans folks, and a collective letter written by a group of people at the Possibilities: Calgary Bi+ Community Group event for Trans Day of Remembrance, 2018. - Celebrating Trans Feminist Activisms
This collective document was created following a narrative community conversation at the Mount Royal University Pride Centre, organized by Kim Williams in response to anti-trans events on campus. - Everything happens for a reasons? A zine about making our own meanings
This zine was created in response (and resistance) to the idea that “everything happens for a reason”, which is often used to victim-blame people or demand that people “look on the bright side”. This zine includes discussion of medical procedures, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse. - You Are Not Alone: Stories, thoughts, and resources after the loss of a pregnancy or child
Created for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day | 2017
Updated in 2019 - BPD Superpowers: What the borderline makes possible
This document follows a conversation, facilitated by Osden Nault and Tiffany Sostar, whose goal was to center the voices of folks who identify with BPD (either diagnosed by a professional or self-claimed), and to shift the dominant narrative about Borderline Personality Disorder. This document includes quotes from participants as well as quotes from BPD folks who were not at the event itself.
Created in 2020 - Mushrooms
A letter to friends in the United States ahead of the 2020 election (though we think perhaps relevant to anyone facing times of significant fear, despair, and hardship). Written by Tiffany Sostar and Lindsey Boyes. - Succulent: A Covid19 zine
A 96 (!!!) page zine about getting through the early days of the pandemic, with submissions from around the world. - Zine: A Warrior Princess
A zine about how media gets us through hard times. -
Page of Cups: A zine about telling our stories
A tarot-inspired zine about playfulness, curiosity, and storytelling. - Fox and Owl Tarot
A little zine with two tarot spreads designed by Tiffany (one for grief and one for parenting) and two common spreads with my suggestions for how to use them (an elements of self-care spread and a narrative face-up tarot spread).
